- Registration
- Patients can register for admission at the concierge/reception desk located in the main lobby on the ground floor directly in front of the main entrance. The registration area handles pre-admissions and admissions for all scheduled inpatient and outpatient surgeries as well as scheduled medical admissions. Please bring your insurance information to facilitate the admission process. An Advanced Directive is a statement indicating who, if anyone, may be responsible for making decisions concerning your medical care should you become unable to do so yourself.
- CONCERNS DURING YOUR HOSPITALIZATION
- Your satisfaction with your care is important to us. Should you or your family members have concerns about the care you are receiving while hospitalized, you may contact the International Patient Service at (+84) 28 5411 0026 – Ext 239. We encourage you to voice your opinion regarding the care you have received, and we welcome your comments. Your feedback will be treated in a confidential manner.
- Special Rooms for Different Needs
- At Tam Duc Heart Hospital, the comfort of the patients and their relatives are kept at the forefront; the patient rooms are designed for differing needs. Each of the rooms offers a 4-star hotel comfort. In all our patient rooms, special services are provided for all needs from a television with national-international broadcasting channels to internet and from a patient-specialized diet-menu to newspaper and magazine service.
- Standard Rooms

- In our standard rooms, all the basic needs of the patients and their companions are covered fully. Additionally, services such as a minibar, television, internet, a private locker, newspapers are provided.
- In our rooms, in addition to the single-person ward for the comfort of patient’s companions, an information brochure against the risk of falling, a metal holding bar in toilets and bathrooms and an emergency rope are provided.
- Tam Duc suites are spacious with a separate lounge for family members and visitors. There is a large bathroom with a separate shower for patient comfort. The suite is decorated in a modern style with beautiful furniture and splashes of vibrant colour.

- INFECTION PREVENTION
- Our staff uses safe practices and the proven guidelines from both the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prevent infections, with special care given to the surgical areas. Hand washing is the single most effective means of preventing the spread of infection.
- SMOKING POLICY
- Tam Duc Heart Hospital is a SMOKE-FREE/TOBACCO. The use of tobacco products are not allowed anywhere on hospital grounds. This includes e-cigarettes.
- SPECIAL NEEDS
- Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs are available to individuals requiring this type of assistance. A staff member can make the necessary arrangements.
- Other: If you have any other special requirements or needs, please discuss them with your nurse or a staff member.
- VALUABLES AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS
- Valuables such as money, jewelry or other articles of value should not be kept at the hospital. You should make arrangements with a family member or friend to take these items home for you. Eyeglasses, dentures and hearing aids are an important part of your life and require special care. Tell your nurse if you use these.
- WHO WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU
- Your primary care team is a registered nurse (RN) and a patient care partner (PCP). Other professionals such as a respiratory therapists, pharmacists, medical technologists and radiology technologists will also be a part of the team involved in your care.
- Our nurses receive extensive training specific to cardiovascular care, which is another key factor in the hospital’s patient focused care model.
- VISITING HOURS AND POLICY
- To ensure that our patients have adequate rest, we request that visitors visit during the visiting hours from 12.00pm – 2.00pm and 5.00pm – 8.30pm.
- Generally not more than five visitors may visit a patient at any one time during visiting hours. We also request that visitors be sensitive to the needs of other patients during the visiting hours.
- Children are welcome for short visits. Children must be escorted by an adult and may not stay in the patient room for longer than 30 minutes. Children are not to be left in the room with the patient unattended. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Please avoid bringing children below 12 years old to the hospital. We discourage visitors from bringing children and babies to the wards especially the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. This is in the interest of their safety as they are more vulnerable to infection. Persons who are unwell must not visit any patient.

- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
- The CICU is a restricted area as the patients here are critically ill and require intensive monitoring. We allow only one visitor at any one time during visiting hours.
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit:
- Visiting time: from 11:00 to 12:00 and 17:00 to 18:00
- Time of Professional advice: from 15:00 to 16:00
- Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit:
- Visiting time: from 11:00 to 12:00 and 17:00 to 18:00
- Professional advice: from 10:00 to 11:00
- Cardiac Intensive Care Unit:
- The CICU is a restricted area as the patients here are critically ill and require intensive monitoring. We allow only one visitor at any one time during visiting hours.
- Other wards:
- Visiting time: from 5:00 to 7:00, 11:30 to 13:30 & 16:00 to 20:45.

- Sat: 7:30 to 11:00

- If you have an insurance coverage, Tam Duc Heart hospital will directly send the invoice to your insurance company. Please be advised that insurance coverage may vary depending on your plan and it may affect your financial responsibility. Payment is requested prior to receiving treatment for services not covered by your insurance.
International Insurance Companies
